May 9, 2022—With a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, Suman Thakuri joins FlexGen as a Field Operations Support Specialist. Prior to joining Flexgen, Suman served as a Field Commissioning Engineer at Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Americas (TMEIC) and executed various revamp and greenfield projects for Steel and Paper Industries such as Nucor Steel, Steel Dynamics, US Steel, West Rock, and Orchid Papers. With experience in commissioning Toshiba-Mitsubishi, Siemens VFDs, and Rockwell PLC Control and Automation systems for the industries, Suman, also served as a Maintenance Specialist for tanks and other tracked vehicles in the US Army for five years.
Suman decided to join FlexGen after receiving great reviews of the company from colleagues in his previous positions, who joined FlexGen last year. With FlexGen as one of the leaders in the energy storage solutions space, it seemed like a great time to join the team. With the impact the company is having on renewable energy sectors, and the huge growth he is seeing in the changing energy markets, Suman saw many opportunities within the organization and was up for the challenges, knowledge, and growth. Suman’s goals in his role at FlexGen are to utilize his skills and experiences as a Field Commissioning Engineer and Maintenance Specialist. He hopes to support FlexGen’s growing aftermarket field operations, and make an impact by building strong customer relationships.
